Aikido has got the power of transforming aggression in joyfulness and difficulties in shared growth thanks to the wisdom and to the self control that it generates.
The Founder Morihei Ueshiba conceived the Aikido as a spiritual path; he said that the meaning of Aikido will be revealed only to those who will get enlightenment through hard practice and research, and explained that “AI” is the same as Harmony and the same as Love, because Love is the most sublime form of Harmony, it feeds all living things of creation and fulfills them, Love is the divinity which monitors all creatures, and without Love nothing can exist, Love cannot hates, nothing is opposed to Love, Love is the essence of God.
Final purpose of Aikido is the research of the way of living in Harmony and complete Love and fulfillment with world and all its creatures.
Do not consider your aggressor with the eyes of fear, but with generosity, send your heart instead of your sword; so, meeting together will be possible and friendship will be born and grow.
In Aikido there is no happiness earned at the expense of the others, but a deep desire of a shared understanding and of joining together to find the divine inside us.
I’ve been practicing Aikido for 35 years always looking for Love and Harmony but finding lots of difficulties.
I understood on my own that we have to insist and go ahead with the study.
Today I perceived in you, Gaku Homma Sensei, the essence of the practice of the art “AIKI”, Love, Goodness, altruism made available to us by your huge and inestimable deed of Solidarity.
Coming here from the other side of the ocean and donate to people in need is the highest and sublime deed of Human Behavior, rare, and is just the spiritual world of Aikido to have space for a single deed, Giving… because Giving is Love.
